1. Overview

Verdict ("the Platform") is operated by Fixr. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our prediction market marketplace.

2. Information We Collect

Blockchain Data (Public)

All market interactions (positions, claims, settlements) occur on-chain on the Base blockchain and are publicly visible. Wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and position data are inherently public.

Automatically Collected

  • IP address (for rate limiting only, not stored)
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and interaction patterns
  • Wallet address when connected

What We Do Not Collect

  • Names, emails, or personal identity information
  • Private keys or seed phrases
  • Financial information beyond on-chain activity
  • Location data

3. How We Use Information

  • Display market data and user positions in the UI
  • Log market settlements for audit and transparency
  • Prevent abuse and ensure platform integrity
  • Improve the Platform's functionality

4. Settlement Audit Logs

When markets are settled, the Fixr agent records settlement details including the data source used, the raw data snapshot, reasoning for the outcome, and the transaction hash. These logs are stored in our database for transparency and audit purposes. They do not contain personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

The Platform uses the following third-party services:

  • Base (Coinbase) — blockchain network for transactions
  • RainbowKit / WalletConnect — wallet connection
  • CoinGecko — cryptocurrency price data for the ticker
  • DexScreener — token price data for settlement
  • DeFiLlama — protocol metric data for settlement
  • Vercel — hosting and deployment
  • Supabase — settlement audit log storage

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

6. Cookies

The Platform uses minimal local storage to persist your theme preference (light/dark mode) and wallet connection state. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

7. Data Retention

On-chain data is permanent and immutable. Settlement audit logs are retained indefinitely for transparency. No personal data is collected, so there is nothing to delete.

8. Security

Smart contracts are verified on Basescan and use OpenZeppelin security libraries. The settlement agent uses authenticated API calls and private key management via Cloudflare Workers secrets. We take reasonable measures to protect the Platform, but no system is perfectly secure.

9. Children

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
